Cardio for weight loss
🏋🏻♀️Unfortunately, many people still believe that long-duration cardio is the best or only strategy for fat loss. This is a big mistake, and fortunately, a myth that is gradually being debunked.
More and more scientific evidence shows that long sessions of moderate- or low-intensity cardio are not capable of producing the desired fat-loss results.
What about weight training?
WEIGHT TRAINING helps you lose fat! Depending on the intensity and the exercises prescribed… YES! Weight training can speed up fat burning throughout the day, helping you lose more weight than low- and moderate-intensity cardio!!! With your metabolism revved up, you keep burning fat for a long time after your workout.
.
🏋🏻♀️And which exercises can help the most with fat loss? Choose compound exercises such as the barbell squat, front squat, deadlift, pull-up…
To give you an idea, both the deadlift and the squat, for example, work as exercises for increasing strength and muscle mass throughout the body.
More than 200 muscles are involved in performing them!!! In addition, they are among the exercises that release the most growth hormone (hGH) and testosterone, increasing the strength and growth of all your muscles.
An important caveat
A good workout won’t work without a good diet. Think of your body like a car.
It needs fuel to run. But not just any fuel will do. It needs the right fuel, or else it won’t run properly and may develop problems.
Cardio for fat loss?
I don’t recommend low-intensity, moderate- or long-duration cardio… for weight loss… If you’re doing it for leisure and enjoyment… it’s fine… We already know it’s not the best strategy for fat loss..

You could run all the way to the moon… and your weight loss would be negligible… It would be convenient for me to recommend that you run 5 km a day… but it wouldn’t get you anywhere. Focus on your diet. Always. If you do it for leisure, that’s fine!! Do it because you enjoy it! No problem!
