Squat pad
Be careful about the bar position when squatting. 🏋🏼♂️
When doing barbell squats, many clients end up injuring themselves or experiencing pain in their cervical spine. This happens because many people adopt the wrong position for the movement and rest the weight on their neck, making postural adjustments to better balance the bar.
You should avoid positioning the bar on your neck.
Where should it go?
It should rest on your trapezius muscles, at shoulder height. This adjustment will prevent unnecessary pressure on your cervical spine and the development of future injuries.
Doing squats correctly, with or without a squat pad
The squat is a functional compound movement, which means it uses two or more joints to engage different muscle groups at the same time.
Before you start adding weight, you should first practice the squat movement using only your body weight. Form is essential, as doing squats correctly can reduce the risk of injury during the movement.

When performing the squat, pay attention to the movement tempo in your training split.
You don’t need very heavy loads to build muscle. That’s a myth, and it’s time to bust it! By using the full range of motion and controlling the tempo, you can achieve great results.
You should always make sure to perform full movements in your workout, because poor exercise technique combined with heavy loads can lead to serious injuries during training. And that’s not what you want, right?
