How to reduce water retention
Want to know how to reduce water retention? Several factors can lead to water retention, ranging from an inadequate diet to medical conditions that should be monitored by doctors.
Factors that cause it
The main factors include a sedentary lifestyle, a diet high in sodium (salt), hypertension and vascular and circulatory problems, hormonal changes during the premenstrual period, pregnancy, and menopause.
There are a few simple things we can do to help our bodies combat this problem:
Reducing water retention
* Drinking plenty of water helps eliminate excess fluid through urine.
* Excessive salt consumption causes the body to retain more fluid, so pay attention to how much salt you add to your food, as well as the amount of sodium listed on food labels. Avoid bouillon cubes and opt for natural seasonings such as herbs, garlic, and onion.
* Avoid soft drinks and carbonated beverages, as the gas increases the feeling of bloating.
* Avoid foods that ferment and cause gas, such as cauliflower, broccoli, and beans.
* Heavy meals, such as feijoada, fatty red meat, and chicken with the skin on, take longer for the body to digest and can cause a feeling of a bloated belly. Choose lean proteins, such as chicken breast and fish.
* Fruits and vegetables with diuretic effects are excellent allies: melon, kiwi, pear, pineapple, parsley, cucumber, and watermelon.
* Foods rich in potassium, such as bananas and coconut water, also help reduce water retention.
* If you work sitting down, take breaks to stand up and stretch your legs, and use a slanted footrest. This will activate circulation and help prevent swelling in your legs and feet at the end of the day.
Water retention: how to finally reduce bloating
Alternate metabolic and tension-based stimuli! And, of course, eat a healthy diet! I won’t get into the debate about creams, aesthetic treatments, magazine remedies, …after all, what woman can live without them… It’s part of the female universe.
By the way: All the women in the world, famous or not, have cellulite too.
“Perfection” doesn’t exist… it’s called Photoshop… I’m sure you’ve seen a “magazine cover model” or “soap opera star” in person on the street or at the beach and realized they weren’t “quite like that” on TV…
Don’t be so hard on yourself! “A woman without cellulite isn’t a woman.” The goal here is to combat EXCESS cellulite, which is a sign of neglecting your health.

A defined muscle is a muscle with little fat buildup and minimal water retention. Getting lean is the dream of many people.
So, DIET plays a very important role in the whole process! Let’s be clear: A workout for muscle definition should be performed with the SAME INTENSITY as a workout for MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY.
