Many women tend to skip this workout and focus only on lower-body training, and that’s a big mistake.
Ladies… if you want beautiful legs and glutes, don’t forget to train your… UPPER BODY!
In this article, we’ll talk about upper-body training and why you should focus on it to get better results.
Why don’t some women train their arms as they should?
Some women avoid training their arms at the gym, and this even has cultural roots… Many claim it would make them look like a “man.” But you won’t become “masculine.” That won’t happen, especially because of the hormonal differences between men and women.
Women produce about 20 times less testosterone than men… rest assured, none of you will become masculine! Quite the opposite… you’ll look #gorgeous!

That’s not even counting the aesthetic benefits… a harmonious body is one that’s developed evenly!
Benefits of arm workouts for women
It’s no joke. To build a more attractive, stronger, and healthier body, you need to work all muscle groups. This includes exercises for both the upper and lower body, whether you’re a man or a woman.
Upper-body training helps boost your metabolism
When someone gains muscle mass, their basal metabolic rate increases. This is the number of calories naturally burned at rest, since your body needs energy to maintain a certain amount of muscle mass. As a result, your daily calorie expenditure increases. So, if you follow a good diet, you’ll burn more calories and have more success reducing body fat. It’s that simple.

Upper-body training will help your lower-body workout performance
You’re probably wondering what your back, chest, arm, and shoulder workouts have to do with glute training. The answer: EVERYTHING!
As I often explain on my IG, the most effective exercises for building your glutes and legs are compound movements, such as squats, stiff-legged deadlifts, leg presses, deadlifts, and lunges…
And in many of them, you use YOUR HANDS to hold the bar, or rest it on your back…

So, if your arms, forearms, and back aren’t strong, you won’t be able to lift a substantial amount of weight to build your lower-body muscles.
Take the stiff-legged deadlift, for example… Anyone who does stiff-legged deadlifts knows this… It’s one of the best exercises for your glutes and hamstrings, but it depends heavily on a good grip and core strength. After a few reps, your forearms and wrists start to complain, right? And maybe your lower back starts complaining a little (or a lot), too.
All of this is because your upper-body muscles aren’t strengthened, or at least not in the same way as your leg and glute muscles.
