Training just one ab exercise
Your abs are muscles like any others. Do you train your chest or lower body every day? NO! The same goes for abs.
We know that the abs are a stabilizing muscle group (part of the core) that we use in many exercises, so remember that they are constantly working, and overdoing it can lead to overtraining.
Muscle recovery
And just like other muscles, your abs need rest to develop, because without rest, there is no progress.
So you need to assess your muscle recovery and how well you are resting.
Remember… Every workout, if prescribed correctly, aims to build lean muscle and lose fat 😉 What will make that more or less effective is your diet 😉 There is no well-designed workout, of course, that will “reduce” your lean muscle mass… believe me 😉 Fat loss happens uniformly… not in specific spots… it is impossible to lose fat from just one part of the body.
Ab exercises don’t burn fat
Ab exercises do not burn the fat around your belly. Most people think they will get defined abs just by doing ab exercises. You will not get rid of fat by training your abs. Abs are built in the kitchen!
Do ab exercises, but focus on your diet
To define your abs, focus on your diet. And once again, the tip is: always get professional support. This applies not only to weight training, which should be guided by a physical education professional, but also to your diet and supplements, which should be guided by a nutritionist.
It seems simple… because it actually is… haha. The big secret is CONSISTENCY!

Your diet needs to be rich in protein, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals to gradually build your muscles.
You need to make some sacrifices—sweets and ultra-processed foods should be off your daily menu—but it is important to find a diet that is easy to follow. Sweets and fried foods should be the exception, never the rule, okay!
