What is the best whey protein?
🙄People ask me today: “What do you take after your workout?” My first answer was… A SHOWER! Jokes aside, there’s a myth that we can only build muscle and make gains by taking whey protein after a workout… but that’s not really how it is. What about you? Do you prefer a big plate of food or whey protein? #ipreferfood
💥A study was recently published showing data on eating foods and other protein sources after a workout. Young people took part in the study and consumed 160 g of red meat or 350 ml of milk immediately after an intense strength-training session.
Absorption
The steak was absorbed faster than the milk, but over the 0-to-5-hour period, both the milk and the steak significantly and effectively stimulated muscle protein synthesis, with no difference between them. This shows that a good plate of food works after a workout, too.
💥Of course… not everyone has the opportunity (time… due to work, etc.) to have a decent whey shake after a workout. I take one myself for convenience… but this study confirmed that it’s possible to get results by eating REAL FOOD and spending as little as possible on supplements. (From my own experience, I can assure you that most of them are pure marketing…)
In summary
You can take whey after your workout to stimulate protein synthesis… but eggs, milk, chicken, tuna, and red meat can produce results just as good or even better #realfood And one fundamental “detail”: seek personalized guidance from a good nutritionist!
There’s no secret
It’s a combination of factors: Nutrition and supplementation (if applicable), with proper guidance, appropriate training, rest, and consequently, good habits.
Remember a rule of life: WHAT COMES EASY… GOES EASY.

Seek guidance from qualified professionals! A nutritionist who preferably prescribes as few dietary supplements as possible… Just what’s needed to meet your daily nutrient targets, because every case is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all recipe 💪🏼
