How to reduce fluid retention and cellulite
There are several factors that lead to fluid retention, from an inadequate diet to medical conditions that should be monitored by doctors.
Factors that cause fluid retention and cellulite
The main factors include a sedentary lifestyle, a diet high in sodium (salt), high blood pressure and vascular and circulatory problems, hormonal changes during the premenstrual period, pregnancy, and menopause.
There are a few simple things we can do to help our bodies fight this problem:
Reducing fluid retention
* Drinking plenty of water helps eliminate excess fluid buildup through urine.
* Consuming too much salt causes the body to retain more fluid, so pay attention to how much salt you add to your food, as well as the amount of sodium listed on food labels. Avoid seasoning cubes and opt for natural seasonings such as herbs, garlic, and onion.
* Avoid soft drinks and carbonated beverages, as the gas increases the feeling of bloating.
* Avoid foods that ferment and cause gas, such as cauliflower, broccoli, and beans.
* Heavy foods, such as feijoada, fatty red meat, and chicken with the skin on, take longer for the body to digest, causing a feeling of a bloated belly. Choose lean proteins, such as chicken breast and fish.
* Fruits and vegetables with diuretic properties are excellent allies: melon, kiwi, pear, pineapple, parsley, cucumber, and watermelon.
* Foods rich in potassium, such as bananas and coconut water, also help reduce fluid retention.
* If you work sitting down, take breaks to stand up and stretch your legs, and use a footrest angled upward. This will get your circulation moving and help prevent swelling in your legs and feet at the end of the day.
Fluid retention and cellulite: how to get rid of it
Alternate metabolic and tension-based stimuli! And, of course, eat a healthy diet! I won’t get into the debate about creams, beauty treatments, magazine superstitions, …after all, what woman can live without them… It’s part of the feminine universe.
By the way: All the women in the world, famous or not, have cellulite too.
“Perfection” doesn’t exist… it’s called Photoshop… You’ve probably seen that “magazine cover” or “soap opera star” in person on the street or at the beach and realized they weren’t “quite like that” as they appeared on TV…
Don’t be so hard on yourself! “A woman without cellulite isn’t a woman.” The goal here is to fight EXCESS cellulite, which is a sign of neglecting your health.

A defined muscle is a muscle with little fat buildup and little fluid retention. Getting lean is the dream of many people.
So, DIET plays a very important role in the whole process! Let’s be clear: A workout plan for muscle definition should be done at the SAME INTENSITY as a workout plan for MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY.
