Cellulite and fluid retention: how to reduce them
Want to know how to reduce fluid retention and cellulite? Several factors can lead to fluid retention, from an inadequate diet to medical conditions that should be monitored by a doctor.
Causes
The main factors include a sedentary lifestyle, a diet high in sodium (salt), hypertension, vascular and circulatory problems, and hormonal changes during the premenstrual period, pregnancy, and menopause.
There are a few simple steps we can take to help our bodies combat this problem:
Reducing fluid retention
* Drinking plenty of water helps eliminate excess fluid through urine.
* Excessive salt intake causes the body to retain more fluid, so pay attention to how much salt you add to your food, as well as the amount of sodium listed on food labels. Avoid bouillon cubes and use natural seasonings, such as herbs, garlic, and onion.
* Avoid soft drinks and carbonated beverages, as carbonation increases the feeling of bloating.
* Avoid foods that ferment and cause gas, such as cauliflower, broccoli, and beans.
* Heavy meals, such as feijoada, fatty red meat, and chicken with the skin on, take longer for the body to digest, causing a feeling of a bloated belly. Choose lean proteins, such as chicken breast and fish.
* Fruits and vegetables with diuretic effects are excellent allies: melon, kiwi, pear, pineapple, parsley, cucumber, and watermelon.
* Foods rich in potassium, such as bananas and coconut water, also help reduce fluid retention.
* If you work sitting down, take breaks to stand up and stretch your legs, and use an inclined footrest. This will get your circulation moving and help prevent swelling in your legs and feet at the end of the day.
Fluid retention: how to get rid of bloating for good
Alternate metabolic and tension-based stimuli! And, of course, eat a healthy diet! I won’t get into the debate about creams, beauty treatments, magazine tips, … after all, what woman lives without them… It’s part of the female universe.
By the way: All the women in the world, famous or not, have cellulite too.
“Perfection” doesn’t exist… that’s called Photoshop… You’ve surely seen a “magazine cover” or “soap opera star” in person on the street or at the beach and realized they weren’t “quite like that” on TV…
Don’t be so hard on yourself! “A woman without cellulite isn’t a woman.” The goal here is to combat EXCESS cellulite, which points to neglecting your health.

A defined muscle is a muscle with low fat accumulation and little fluid retention. Getting lean is the dream of many people.
So, DIET plays a very important role throughout the process! Let this be clear: A workout program for muscle definition should be performed at the SAME INTENSITY as a workout program for MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY.
