Does using the treadmill every day help you lose weight?
How can weight training help you lose fat if it doesn’t burn that many calories and doesn’t really get you into the fat-burning zone?
Results come after your workout
The straightforward answer isn’t what happens DURING your workout… but AFTER it, because fat utilization increases in the hours following strength training.
Accelerating fat burning
As long as your workout is WELL GUIDED, weight training can accelerate fat loss throughout the day, helping you lose more weight than low- and moderate-intensity cardio. With your metabolism revved up, you keep burning fat long after physical activity.
Weight training myths
There are many myths surrounding weight loss and fat loss. The fact is… nutrition is always the main factor… combined with a good weight training program!! It’s no mystery!
How much treadmill time do you need to lose weight?
Running or walking on a treadmill is an excellent way to prevent heart disease and obesity—but how many minutes of cardio should you do each day?
The answer depends on your goals and current fitness level. Exercising consistently for a set period of time and then building on that will allow you to increase your speed and intensity over the long term.
If you’re out of shape, overweight, or have never done cardiovascular exercise before, start with 10 to 20 minutes four or five days a week. Speed isn’t important at first: the goal is simply to raise your heart rate consistently.
Your diet needs to be rich in protein, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals to gradually build your muscles.
You’ll need to make some sacrifices—sweets and ultra-processed foods should be kept out of your daily routine—but it’s important to find a diet that’s easy to stick to. Let sweets and fried foods be the exception, never the rule, okay!

It’s worth remembering that the less hydrated your body is, the more hormones (cortisol, aldosterone) it secretes, causing your body to retain fluid and look bloated. In fact, this appearance is swelling caused by water retention.
