Number of exercises in a lower-body workout
A lower-body workout? First of all, everyone is different, but if you don’t have any physical limitations, focus mainly on compound exercises like squats, lunges, the leg press, and the stiff-legged deadlift.
Avoid trendy exercises
If it’s already hard to build your glutes with the “fantastic four”… imagine how hard it is with all those crazy exercises so many fitness bloggers do.
Focus on tempo and range of motion
Get adequate rest.
Forget the idea that “more is better”… Many people make the mistake of overdoing their training frequency because they’re eager to get better results.
Training your glutes every day isn’t the best strategy. The more intense your workout, the longer your rest period should be.
Best exercises for glutes and legs
For a lower-body workout, stick to the usual basics… barbell squats, lunges, the leg press, stiff-legged deadlifts… It’s not complicated!
Remember: it’s important to understand that all compound movements, such as squats, single-leg lunges, and the leg press, work both the back and front of the thigh (quadriceps), as well as the glutes!! Put simply: whenever you use a compound exercise to train your “legs,” you’re also training your butt… and vice versa.

There are variations you can do to emphasize one area or another, but it’s not possible to completely isolate the muscles mentioned with these compound exercises!
And training your LOWER BODY on consecutive days will NOT bring you any benefits!
