How to reduce fluid retention
Want to know how to reduce fluid retention? Several factors can lead to fluid retention, ranging from an inadequate diet to medical conditions that should be monitored by doctors.
Causes
The main factors include a sedentary lifestyle, a diet high in sodium (salt), hypertension and vascular and circulatory problems, hormonal changes during the premenstrual period, pregnancy, and menopause.
There are a few simple steps we can take to help our bodies combat this problem:
Reducing fluid retention
* Drinking plenty of water helps eliminate excess fluid through urine.
* Excessive salt intake causes the body to retain more fluid, so pay attention to how much salt you add to your food, as well as the amount of sodium listed on food labels. Avoid bouillon cubes and opt for natural seasonings such as herbs, garlic, and onion.
* Avoid soft drinks and carbonated beverages, as the gas increases the feeling of bloating.
* Avoid foods that ferment and cause gas, such as cauliflower, broccoli, and beans.
* Heavy meals, such as feijoada, fatty red meat, and chicken with the skin on, take longer for the body to digest and can cause a feeling of a bloated stomach. Choose lean proteins such as chicken breast and fish.
* Fruits and vegetables with diuretic effects are excellent allies: melon, kiwi, pear, pineapple, parsley, cucumber, and watermelon.
* Foods rich in potassium, such as bananas and coconut water, also help reduce fluid retention.
* If you work sitting down, take breaks to stand up and stretch your legs, and use an inclined footrest. This will get your circulation moving and help prevent swelling in your legs and feet at the end of the day.
Fluid retention: how to reduce bloating for good
Alternate metabolic and strength training stimuli! And, of course, eat a healthy diet! I won’t get into the debate about creams, cosmetic treatments, magazine superstitions… after all, what woman can live without them… It’s part of the female universe.
By the way: All the women in the world, famous or not, have cellulite too.
“Perfection” doesn’t exist… that’s what Photoshop is for… You’ve probably seen a “magazine cover model” or a “soap opera star” in person on the street or at the beach and realized they didn’t look “quite like that” on TV…
Don’t be so hard on yourself! “A woman without cellulite isn’t a woman.” The goal here is to combat EXCESS cellulite, which can indicate neglect of your health.

A defined muscle is a muscle with little accumulated fat and little fluid retention. Getting lean is the dream of many people.
That being said, DIET plays a very important role throughout the process! Let’s be clear: A workout for muscle definition should be performed with the SAME INTENSITY as a workout for MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY.
