More weight or more reps for squats and stiff-leg deadlifts?
Lighter weights produce results just as well as heavy weights. Yes! You read that right! After all, “intensity,” which is our goal here, should be understood as a qualitative concept, where sets, reps, etc., together with other variables such as tempo, range of motion, and rest intervals, will produce acute changes in our bodies.
Nutrition is what enhances your results
Always remember that every workout, when properly prescribed, aims to build lean muscle and lose fat 😉 What will enhance that—or not—is YOUR NUTRITION 😉 There is no properly designed workout that will “reduce” your lean muscle mass… believe me 😉
And training to failure is the most important thing, because you can train with a lot of weight and low intensity and/or with little weight and high intensity!
Low reps with heavy weights for squats and stiff-leg deadlifts?
You don’t need very heavy weights to build muscle. That’s a myth, and it’s time to bust it! By using the full range of motion and controlling your tempo, you can get great results.
You should always focus on performing the full movement in your workouts, because poor exercise form combined with heavy weights can lead to serious injuries during training. And that’s not what you want, is it?
So always keep in mind that weight is not the main thing you should focus on during your workout.

Think of your workout as a complete package. Use a full range of motion, control your tempo throughout each rep, and pay close attention to your form during every exercise. Low reps won’t help you much.
This will definitely help you see greater results in less time!
