How to do a pelvic tilt on the leg curl machine
👉🏻 You don’t need state-of-the-art equipment or a gym with a $500 monthly membership to achieve your goals. You need the basics! What are the basics? Free weights, barbells, good guidance on how to perform your exercises, and most importantly… NO OUTLANDISH GIMMICKS!
🎯Social media promotes a series of crazy exercises every day—I’d even call some of them circus acts… side-facing leg press, “kickbacks” with a cable, squats on the hip abductor and adductor machines… etc. They get a lot of attention from followers, mainly because the people doing them have… let’s say, attractive physiques. But I GUARANTEE you, they didn’t get that physique by squatting on the adductor machine… yes, folks: it’s called marketing… these exercises are ridiculous and sometimes dangerous. Don’t follow fads.
Incorrect form
Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it, and right is right even if no one is doing it.
And even if you stick to the basics and what works, here are a few tips: always check the condition of the equipment you plan to use. Check everything: the cables’ condition, how the machines are secured, and the condition of the floor.
🎯 When using the leg press or Smith machine, check and use the safety catches!
🎯 Even your footwear matters… for example, avoid very unstable shoes when doing a barbell squat…
That’s it.
Pelvic tilts can help you a lot… But not with your glutes.
Some variations of the pelvic tilt are generally recommended to help build muscle in the lower back and also to relieve pain.
That’s because this simple exercise focuses on strengthening and stretching the core muscles associated with discomfort in this area. In addition, pelvic tilts are safe for practically anyone, including pregnant women.
When it comes to the glutes, the pelvic tilt isn’t the best training option.

Another option is to increase the weight you use when performing specific movements. Just be sure to increase the weight slowly. Increase it too much too quickly, and you risk getting injured.
Ideally, your glute workout routine should build your glutes without creating imbalances in other muscles. This sometimes happens if you’ve already injured a particular area of your body and therefore don’t train it.
