Weight training or cardio
This is a very common scene at gyms when it comes to fat loss.
Unfortunately, many people still believe that long-duration cardio is the best or only strategy for fat loss. This is a big mistake, and fortunately, a myth that is gradually being debunked.
More and more evidence based on scientific facts shows that long sessions of moderate- or low-intensity cardio cannot deliver the desired fat-loss results.
💥 What about weight training? WEIGHT TRAINING helps you lose fat! Depending on the intensity and the exercises prescribed… YES! Weight training can speed up fat burning throughout the day, helping you lose more weight than low- and moderate-intensity cardio!!! With your metabolism revved up, you keep burning fat for a long time after your workout.
Exercises for fat loss
Which exercises can help most with fat loss? Choose compound movements such as barbell back squats, front squats, deadlifts, pull-ups…
Just to give you an idea, both deadlifts and squats, for example, help increase strength and muscle mass throughout the body. More than 200 muscles are involved in performing them!!! In addition, they are among the exercises that release the most growth hormone (hGH) and testosterone, increasing strength and the growth of all your muscles.
Focus on your diet
One important caveat: a good workout won’t work without a good diet. Think of your body as a car. It needs fuel to run. But not just any fuel will do. It needs the right fuel; otherwise, it won’t work and may develop problems.
Weight training or cardio?
I don’t recommend moderate- or long-duration, low-intensity cardio for weight loss. If you do it for leisure and enjoyment, that’s fine… it’s already well known that it isn’t the best strategy for fat loss.
You could run all the way to the moon… and the weight loss would be tiny. It might be convenient for me to recommend running 5 km a day… but it wouldn’t get you anywhere. Focus on your diet. Always. If it’s for leisure, that’s fine!! Do it because you enjoy it! No problem!

Do you want to lose fat? Whether it’s for summer, an event, or any other reason.
A defined muscle is a muscle with little fat buildup.
So, DIET plays a very important role in the whole process! Let this be clear: training for muscle definition should be done at the SAME INTENSITY as training for MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY.
Through this article, you’ll learn how to lose weight the right way to define your body, including burning localized fat.
