How to define your abs
🏋🏻♀️This is a very common sight in gyms…
Many people, unfortunately, still believe that long-duration cardio is the best or only strategy for fat loss. This is a big mistake and, fortunately, a myth that is gradually being dispelled.
There is growing scientific evidence that long sessions of moderate- or low-intensity cardio are not capable of producing the desired fat-loss results.
What about weight training?
WEIGHT TRAINING helps you lose fat! Depending on the intensity and the exercises prescribed… YES! Weight training can speed up fat burning throughout the day, helping you lose more weight than low- and moderate-intensity cardio!!! With your metabolism revved up, you keep burning fat long after your workout.
Choose better exercises
🏋🏻♀️And which exercises can help most with fat loss? Choose compound exercises such as back squats, front squats, deadlifts, pull-ups…
To give you an idea, both deadlifts and squats, for example, work as exercises to increase strength and muscle mass throughout the body. More than 200 muscles are involved in performing them!!! In addition, they are among the exercises that release the most growth hormone (hGH) and testosterone, increasing the strength and growth of all your muscles.
💥An important caveat: A good workout won’t work without a good diet. Think of your body like a car. It needs fuel to run. But not just any fuel will do. It needs the right fuel or, otherwise, it won’t run properly and may develop problems.
Weight training or cardio for defining abs?
I don’t recommend medium- or long-duration, low-intensity cardio for weight loss. If you do it for leisure and enjoyment, that’s fine… It’s already well known that it isn’t the best strategy for fat loss.
You could run from here to the moon… and the weight loss would be negligible. It would be convenient for me to recommend running 5 km a day… but it wouldn’t get you anywhere. Focus on your diet. Always. If it’s for leisure, that’s fine!! Do it because you enjoy it! No problem!

Do you want to lose fat and define your abs? Whether it’s for summer, an event, or any other reason.
A defined muscle is a muscle with little fat covering it.
So, DIET plays a very important role in the whole process! Let this be clear: Training for muscle definition should be done at the SAME INTENSITY as training for MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY.
In this article, you’ll learn how to lose weight the right way to define your body, including how to burn fat in specific areas.
